Our aim is to create a supportive and encouraging environment for men to exercise their gifting and experience the guidance of God. We do this by:
Getting together for breakfasts on the first Saturday of the month. We begin at 8:30am and try to wrap it up by about 10:00am. We start with a continental style breakfast, and then have a time of sharing, prayer and encouragement for the men (young and old) who are in attendance or not. Theses are in recess during the summer months. Please check out our callendar for most recent dates and times here.
Our Annual Men's Retreat: We organize an annual weekend retreat at Shekinah Retreat Center, located on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River. While there, we have great Bible teaching, enjoy the company of other men, play broomball, billiards and board games, eat lots and sleep a little. This retreat usually occurs in February or March each year.
Odd Job Squad: On occasion, a group of guys will get together and help a family out with shingling the roof, building a deck or fence or even on occasion some mechanical work. Although hard work, these experiences have created laughter and comradery among the men (and some women) who join in to make light work of the heavy task set before them.
